Akuse Government Hospital honours Okudzeto Ablakwa for his generosity

The Management of Akuse Government Hospital in the Eastern Region of Ghana has honoured the Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for his generosity towards the hospital and patients.

A team from the Hospital presented a citation to the Member of Parliament as a way of acknowledgement and appreciation for his donations to the hospital.

This presentation came after Mr. Ablakwa’s donated set of incubators to end the sad history of a children’s ward without an incubator and when he sponsored the delivery of the facility’s first conjoined twins in the hospital.

In the course of the presentation, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said, he is thankful to the management of Akuse Government Hospital for the surprise appreciation visit though he wasn’t expecting any recognition for his donations.

BACKGROUND

In April 2021, the North Tongu Constituency Member of Parliament Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has donated expensive health equipment to the Akuse Govermment Hospital in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Mr. Ablakwa has announced that, his outfit has donated an infant incubator to the Hospital in order to end years of lack of an incubator at the hospital.

He also donated o ther items requested by the health experts for the woman who gave birth to a conjoined twins (Siamese twins) at the Hospital.

The North Tongu Lawmaker also pledged to shoulder all financial commitments including the cost of final surgery leading to the separation of the conjoined babies who appear to be joined at the thorax.

The MP made the donation after the Hospital successfully carried out its first delivery of conjoined twins (Siamese twins) for a woman who hails from Torgorme in his Constituency.

This has been the first time ever in the history of Akuse Government Hospital to have successfully carried out delivery of conjoined twins (Siamese twins) since its established in 1911.

Okudzeto Ablakwa, who is poised in solving humanitarian problems has celebrated the medical team led by Odade3 Dr. Tyrus Valmont for this remarkable feat in the History of Hospital.

“Grateful to the management of Akuse Government Hospital for the invitation to witness this very rare phenomenon. It is worth noting that even though the health facility is located in the Eastern Region, it serves many of my constituents in the Torgorme/Fodzoku/Juapong enclave because of proximity and an impressive track record.” He explained.

“It is most gratifying that medical experts remain optimistic. Let’s keep our adorable twins in prayers, please.” He said.
