The Member of Parliament for the Ketu South Constituency, Hon. Dzifa Gomashie is currently devastated after tens of thousands of her constituents have been rendered homeless.
Some portions of the Keta Municipality and the Ketu South Municipality have been taken over by the sea and many indegenes of the area have lost their homes with nowhere to lay their heads.
Speaking during a tour of the homes destroyed by the sea waves, the Member of Parliament for the area Hon. Dzifa Gomashie broke down into tears at the sight of some of the houses in which she campaigned during the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
According to Hon. Gomashie, the people of Ketu South also pay their taxes as any other Ghanaian but are not being treated fairly by the President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government.
She explained that, during the apex of the C0VID-19 pandemic, the President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government distributed hot meals to many citizens in other parts of the country but neglected the people of Ketu South just as a way of punishing them.
