Hon. Rockson Dafeamekpor rescues over 2,039 persons from blindness


The Honourable Member of Parliament for South Dayi Mr. Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor undertakes free eye screening and surgeries for his constituents of South Dayi, in the Volta Region of Ghana.

The MP, as part of his health programmes has rolled out the eye screening and surgeries for the people of the Constituency, in collaboration with Lifetime Well Vision and Friends of the Eye.

A total of fifty six (56) eye surgeries were done for persons with severe eye problems, four hundred and seventy six (476) people received eye glasses, 2108 got their eyes screened and 2039 received medications for the eye.

The Eye Screening took place in Peki, Kpeve, Todome, Dugah and Dzemeni/Tsanakpe.

Okudzeto sponsors eye surgeries and treatments for over 250 constituents

Whereas the eye surgeries were conducted at the Peki Government Hospital as well as at the Tsanakpe Health Centre.

The impact of the program has been very positive to the extent that the constituents want their Member of Parliament, Mr. Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor to frequently role out such interventions.
