I consider the Covid-19 vaccines safe once Mahama has taken his jab – Yayra Koku

A staunt member of the National Democratic Congress, an IT expert and former employee at the National Identification Authority Mr. Yayra Koku says, he now considers the Covid-19 vaccines safe since John Dramani Mahama has taken his jab.

There were series of conspiracy theories and rumors around the Covid-19 vaccines deployed into Ghana through the COVAX Facility to vaccinate Ghanaians in order to help fight the fast spreading and deadly virus.

Many Ghanaians especially some key elements in the National Democratic Congress believe that, the vaccines are not safe for use until the Party’s 2020 Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama with his wife Lordina Mahama took their jab today, at Police Hospital in Accra.

In a trending post, Yayra Koku said “You see Akufo-Addo as your role model, but you don’t want others to see President Mahama as the same.”

“Let me repeat; once President Mahama has taken the vaccine, I see it to be SAFE for me and any other Ghanaian to take it too because I don’t trust the person who took it yesterday” He explained.

The Republic of Ghana has officially commenced its vaccination Programme across a total of 43 Districts in three Regions thus; Greater Accra, Greater Kumasi and Central Region. The rollout exercise is expected to have about 600,000 people receiving the jab.

Some prominent personalities including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Former President John Dramani Mahama, Otumfour Osie Tutu II their spouses and some heads and members of State institutions among many have since received the Covid-19 vaccine.
