The well-known Ghanaian Rapper from the R2BEES family, Faisal Hakeem, professionally known as Omar Sterling formerly called Paedae, has firmly expressed his aversion to the glorification of celebrities.
Omar Sterling during a recent podcast, Stay by Plan inquired of something he disapproves yet perceives as appealing to others.
Answering the Rapper candidly stated, “I think mine would be celebrity worship.”
Elaborating on his stance, he emphasized his skepticism toward the idea that fame inherently signifies the intelligence necessary to lead a generation or a country. According to the R2BEES rapper, being famous does not automatically translate to being well-informed about current events or equipped to offer relevant solutions when the need arises.

“To become well-known, if you’re gifted and can capitalize on it, you gain recognition. It doesn’t imply that you’re smart. Instead of superstars, we need intelligent individuals to foster the development of generations,” he added, articulating the importance of prioritizing intellectual capabilities over mere popularity.
Despite his admiration for many individuals, Omar Sterling clarified that he has never looked up to anybody as his hero or role model. This perspective aligns with his belief in valuing intelligence and substance over superficial fame.
In a world often enamored with celebrity culture, his viewpoint serves as a reminder of the importance of substantive contributions and critical thinking in shaping societal progress.
