I will develop telemedicine tools to support adequate health facilities – Mahama

H.E John Dramani Mahama who from time to time receives praises from a Section of Ghanaians, particularly members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to have established a robust healthcare system in Ghana, in his social media platform suggest that, Ghana needs to establish telemedicine tools to provide support to the construction and provision of ultramodern and well-equipped hospitals across Ghana. In the statement, he explained that the availability of such system will help improve access to smooth, proper and effective healthcare to every Ghanaian in the country.
“We have to develop telemedicine tools to support the construction and provision of modern and well-equipped health facilities across the country. This will make it easier for every Ghanaian to access quality healthcare. Together, we will build a future #Ghana.” He explained.
The former President John Dramani Mahama has also jabs H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his government for failing to develop a strong healthcare system to help the country defectively faces epidemics as at when they arise. He categorically stated that, the outbreak of novel coronavirus in Ghana has demonstrated that the country has a very weak healthcare system. “The outbreak of #COVID19 has demonstrated yet again that a strong healthcare system is vital for any country. Access to healthcare is a human right!” He accused.
Coronavirus Cases in Ghana
The Ghana Health Service update on Thursday, 21st May, 2020 shows that, Ghana has recorded a total of six thousand, two hundred and sixty-nine (6,269) positive Coronavirus case with one thousand, eight hundred and ninety-eight (1,898) recoveries and thirty-one (31) deaths.
