I will serve in the best interest of my constituents – Hohoe MCE elect

The Municipal Chief Executive elect for the Hohoe Constituency Mr. Daniel Noble Awume says, he will serve in the best interest of the People of Hohoe Constituency in Volta Region with the little resources available towards its development.

Mr. Awume, speaking after his confirmation by Assembly Members assured the people of Hohoe that he is there to serve and not to be served.

In the Hohoe Municipality, forty-one (41) year old Deputy Regional Director of the Youth Employment Agency, Mr. Daniel Noble Awume became the new MCE.

He had seventeen (17) ‘Yes’ votes as against seven (7) ‘No’ votes with one (1) rejected to bag 70.8 percent of the votes cast to replace the out-going MCE for the area, Hon. Andrews Teddy Ofori who had tremendously done a lot to improve the infrastructural development of the Hohoe municipality over the past four years.

Accepting the challenge as the new MCE, Mr. Awume assured the people of Hohoe that he is there to serve and not to be served. ‘That is my understanding of being Hohoe MCE; Service to our farmers, market women, our teeming youth, businessmen and women and service to the ordinary man on the street’, Hon. Awume intimated.

Hon. Awume thanked the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for the honour done him to serve his people. He called for closer collaboration among all stakeholders of Hohoe so as to help realize his vision and dreams for the Hohoe municipality.
