Dancehall sensation Shatta Wale has expressed his discontent with fellow musician Stonebwoy’s freedom following a controversial incident involving a firearm. Shatta Wale believes that Stonebwoy should have faced legal consequences for his actions.
In a recent Facebook live video, Shatta Wale voiced his frustration, suggesting that Stonebwoy’s behavior has gone unpunished by the authorities.
His anger seemed to stem from a perceived attempt by Stonebwoy and his team to undermine Shatta Wale’s upcoming Freedom Wave concert, scheduled for December 25 at the Accra Sports Stadium. Stonebwoy’s team had apparently planned their own concert just three days earlier.
Shatta Wale commented, “In any serious country, Stonebwoy should have been in jail by now. This is not the first time he has brandished a gun, and it’s rather unfortunate that he is freely moving around and causing trouble.”
He further said, “After he pulled out a gun at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, I expected the authorities to arrest and detain him, but that didn’t happen. Instead, they are targeting me, even though I didn’t use a weapon. There should be no favoritism in our industry; we are all part of show business.”
Shatta Wale also questioned Stonebwoy’s public image, portraying him as two-faced. He accused Stonebwoy of pretending to be innocent while secretly causing conflicts within the entertainment industry. He expressed concern about the venue clash between their respective events, as it had the potential to create confusion and legal issues.
