Member of Parliament for South Tongu Constituency Honourable Kobena Mensah Woyome has expressed his appreciation to the people of South Tongu especially delegates in the just ended NDC Parliamentary and Presidential Primaries.
Hon. Woyome says, it has been great working with, and serving the people of South Tongu over the years as their MP in the Ghanaian Parliament.
In a statement, he said, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It has been great working with, and serving you over the years. I am grateful for the support and trust you reposed in me over the years of service.”
“I will always cherish the memories and experiences of serving as your representative in the Parliament of Ghana for four conservative terms ending 7th of January, 2025.”
“I do accept your decision for another person to take over the role I am playing come midnight, the 6th of January, 2025.”
“It is now time to work together to capture power from NPP come 7th December, 2024. Once again, I say thank you.” He said.
The Member of Parliament, Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome lost his Primaries to Hon. Maxwell Kwame Lukutor in the NDC Primaries held on Saturday, 13th May, 2023.
Maxwell Kwame Lukutor won with a total of 597 votes against the incumbent who had 562 votes.
Stephen Fenuku, the former Constituency Youth Organizer has a total of 347 vote, Jonathan Kojo Adusu had 10 votes and Vivian Abla Kpeglo had 4 votes.
