Koku Anyidoho sues Mahama’s aide Dzifa Gunu for defamation; Demands GH¢10 million

The former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Chief Executive Officer of Atta Mills Institute Samuel Koku Anyidoho has draged former President John Dramani Mahama’s aide Dzifa Gunu to Court for defamation of character.

The Plaintiff [Samuel Koku Anyidoho] who is a citizen of Ghana, former Head of Communications at the office of the late former President Prof. Evan Atta Mills informed the Court that, Dzifa Gunu has leveled unpalatable allegations against him.

Mr. Koku Anyidoho noted that, the defendant [Dzifa Gunu] who is a citizen of Ghana and an aide to a former president of Ghana Mr. John Dramani Mahama has alleged unprofound death threat and murderer against him.

Giving a breakdown, Anyidoho added that, on 16th January, 2021 the defendant published an articie on his Facebook page casting serious insinuation on his integrity  and by the said publication, the defendant [Dzifa Gunu] made serious defamatory statements concerning him [Samuel Koku Anyidoho]

He further said, the defendant made serious defamatory statements
concerning the him to wit (the plaintiff has made several attempts on the life of former President John Dramani Manama visiting shrines in Benin and Togo to cause the premature death of former President Jonn Dramani Mahama) a fact he knew was untrue.

The Plaintiff [Samuel Koku Anyidoho] says that defendant made a categorical statement that plaintiff caused the death of his 8 year old daughter who passed away on 7 November 2020

Koku Anyidoho in suit has therefore demanded for Ten (10) Million Ghana Cedis (GH¢10, 000,000.00) for defamatory statement published by the defendant on his Facebook pages.
