Let’s maintain the first position on December 7 to do more for Ghanaians – Akufo-Addo begs for votes

The Leader and flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is asking Ghanaians to retain him in office during the December 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

The President’s appeal for votes in the upcoming General Elections came soon after the NPP party leadership picked spot one (1) on the December 2020 ballot paper during the Electoral Commission’s balloting ahead of the polls.

Though some Ghanaians were hoping for the New Patriotic Party to pick either spot 4 or 2 on the ballot paper based on the party’s “4 More To Do more” and “Round 2” campaign message, President Nana Akufo-Addo including some party officials said, the spot one (1) on the ballot paper is rather a sign of victory for them.

The President who is very confident of winning the December 2020 polls is therefore calling on Ghanaians to maintain him on the first position in the elections by voting for him and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Explaining the NPP’s spot on the ballot paper, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic  Party John Boadu said, the number 1 on the ballot paper will continue to remain the highest ranking in everything, and it will only take a competent, dedicated, hardworking and devoid of moral turpitude to get to that rank.

According to the party, NPP is number 1 to fulfil all its manifesto promises which cannot be compared to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the history of this country.

Some say, the NPP is the first to give Ghanaians free water, electricity, one-Constituency one-Ambulance, free SHS, 7 models in NABCO, the first to lift the promotion interview frustrations on teachers and replacing with more acceptable and enhanced promotion examination. “Number 1 has spiritual connotations for NPP and it will manifest physically on December 7th.” They said.

Position of political parties on the election 2020 Ballot paper at the end of the Electoral Commission’s balloting is as follow; NPP 1, NDC 2, GUM 3, CPP 4, GFP 5, GCPP 6, APC 7, LPG 8, PNC 9, PPP 10, NDP 11, IND 12.
