The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs. Jean Mensa has charged the newly selected management, Returning and Deputy Returning Officers to uphold integrity, transparency, fairness, and hard work in the discharge of their duties ahead of the Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in December.
Speaking at an Induction Meeting held at the Accra Metropolitan Hall in Accra on 15th October, 2020, the Chairperson congratulated them on their appointment after the rigorous interview process and thanked them for availing themselves to serve their country.

The newly recruited officials were led to swear the official pledge of loyalty and confidentiality as they now embark on the utmost important task of ensuring the Commission undertakes a credible, free, fair, transparent and peaceful Election on 7th December, 2020.
Mrs. Jean Mensa noted that this was the first time the Commission was engaging Returning Officers and their Deputies to reiterate the importance of their roles and responsibilities in the electoral process. This is key in creating a collective sense of accountability on the part of all the officials who will be involved in the conduct of the Elections.
