The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Mr. Samuel Nartey George says, hom0sexμality is NOT human right in Ghana and they shall pass a Bill agàinst it.
The Ghanaian Lawmaker believes that, the practice of Hom0sexuality is a sexual preference. Preferences are not absolute or unregulated.
He said unequivocally that, irrespective of all odds and challenges, they will ensure that, a Bill is passed in Parliament against the practices of Hom0sexμality in the Republic of Ghana.
The Member of Parliament who is part of a Committee responsible for drafting the Private Members Bill said, ‘I have been overwhelmed by the massive support even here on a very ‘liberal’ platform like Twitter for our Bill on the LGBTQI+ menance. Hemosexuality is NOT a human right. It is a sexual preference. Preferences are not absolute or unregulated. We SHALL pass this Bill through.’
A committee was constituted to draft a Bill to be passed ∆gainst the practice of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Intersex (LGBTQI) Right movement in Ghana. A draft of The Private Members Bill titled “The Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Right and Ghanaian Family Values Bill, 2021” is expected to provide proper human sexual rights and Ghana family values; prescribe LGBTQI and related activities; proscribe propaganda of, advocacy for or promotion of LGBTTQQIAAP+ and related activities, provide for the protection of, and support for children, persons who are victims or accused of LGBTTQQIAAP+ and related activities and other persons; and related matter.
Mr. Sam George is one of the eight (8) Members of The Private Members Bill Committee against the unwanted practice in the Republic of Ghana. The Bill is yet to be laid before Parliament for onward approval. But, the Member of Parliament is confident and resolute that, the Bill shall be passed.
