Matheus Luiz Nunes is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League and for the Portugal national team. Nunes, who was born and raised in Brazil until the age of 12, chose to play for the Portugal national team, making his senior international debut in 2021 and representing the country in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Nunes began his career at Ericeirense before joining LigaPro club Estoril. Nunes spent most of his time with the club in the reserve squad before joining Sporting CP in the Primeira Liga in January 2019.
