Minister for Education “boasts” initiatives under his reign to Osei Tutu II
The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum boasted about the progress and initiatives under his reign when he met Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II and the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs.
At the meeting, Dr. Adutwum shared with them the significant strides made in education within the Ashanti Region, emphasizing initiatives aimed at enhancing access to quality education, infrastructure development in schools, and improvements in learning outcomes.
He also highlighted the various programs implemented to support teachers’ professional development, as well as efforts to modernize educational facilities to align with global standards.
Moreover, he presented nationwide educational reforms and policies that have positively impacted the country’s education sector. These include initiatives to promote inclusive education, revamp the curriculum to meet modern demands, and enhance technical and vocational training to align with industry needs.
Addressing the reception, and the outcome, he said “Engaging with the Asantehene and the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs was a valuable opportunity to seek their counsel, support, and collaboration in furthering the cause of education in the Ashanti Region and the entire nation.
“Their insights and guidance are invaluable as we work together to elevate the standard of education and empower the youth for a brighter future,” Dr. Adutwum stated.
