Mr. Richard Collins Arku has officially announced the end of his stewardship as the District Chief Executive for North Tongu District Assembly.
The former District Chief Executive, took to his official Facebook wall to announce the news to the people of North Tongu Constituency on Tuesday, 5th October, 2021.
According to Richard Collins Arku, it has been very fruitful experience to serve his beloved District and the people of North Tongu Constituency.
He also expressed his appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the opportunity to serve his beloved constituents in his first term in office.
Mr. Arku made the statement following the emphatic confirmation of his successor Mr. Divine Osborn Kwadzo Fenu by Assembly Members.
Richard Collins Arku was appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2017 after he first won the much contested December 2016 Presidential Election against the sitting president John Dramani Mahama.
He served North Tongu Constituency from 2017 to 5th October, 2021.
His successor, Mr. Divine Osborn Kwadzo Fenu who was nominated by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to take over from him, has secured a 100% endorsement from Assembly Members during his confirmation exercise on 5th October, 2021 at the Premises of the North Tongu District Assembly Court room in Battor.
According to the Local Governance Act 936, Mr. Osborn Fenu will serve the Assembly as the District Chief Executive from now until January, 2024.
