New UTAG-UCC executives sworn into office
The new executives of the University Teachers’ Association of Ghana-University of Cape Coast Chapter (UTAG-UCC) have been sworn into office.
The sworn-in executives are four (4) in number. Their names are Dr. Jerry Opoku Ansah (President), Dr. (Mrs) Joana Eva Doodoo (Vice-President), Prof. Isaac Buabeng (Secretary), and Dr. Beatrice Asante Somuah (Treasurer).
The oath of office for the executives was administered by Mr. Constantine K.M. Kudzedzi, a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law-UCC.
Addressing the members present at the brief handover ceremony, Dr. Jerry Opoku Ansah (President) pledged to maintain a high standard set by his predecessor and promised to contribute his quota to the chapter.
Further, he spoke about some of the challenges members of UTAG-UCC are struggling with not excluding promotion challenges.
He also called on the management to fast-track the promotion exercise for its members among other challenges.
Praising the management, Dr. Jerry Opoku Ansah shed light on the building of the office complex by management for the faculty and promised to improve ways for members of UTAG-UCC via a partnership (with the management).
On other the side, the immediate past President, Professor Samuel Bert Boadi-Kusi expressed his appreciation to the members of UTAG-UCC saying his administration’s success and support can not be taken away from the members. The members made his administration a success.
Advising the new members, he urged them to stay principled and objective in their duty(ies) execution for the deserved success.
