UCC and Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences discuss enriching academic cooperation
The University of Cape Coast (UCC) and its German ally, Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences have discussed how best they can enrich their academic cooperation.
In attendance was the Registrar of UCC, Mr. Jeff Teye Onyame, and other officials from UCC and a delegated team of academics from the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.
The cooperation between UCC and Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences dates from 2011. UCC has benefited from the collaboration they have with their ally.
Since the above-stated year, UCC School of Business has benefited through staff and students’ exchange programmes including other benefits related to academics.
Fast forward to a team of delegations from Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences headed by its Vice President for International Affairs and Diversity, Professor Dr. Jurgen Bode sat with Vice-Chancellor of UCC, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong to discuss how best they can intensify their academic ties to include the remaining departments of the “University of Choice”, UCC.
According to the head of the delegation from Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Bode, he disclosed that his outfit (Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences) would like to collaborate with UCC on sustainability, research, career development including the other areas.
Further, he talked about strengthening their collaboration to include how they can assist students from UCC to think entrepreneurially and commence their businesses right after school in Ghana. This aim will be achieved because Germany is a world-known country having highly developed industries in existence therefore through collaboration, students from UCC can benefit and learn from those industries to improve themselves holistically.
The UCC team expressed excitement for the success they are about to chalk again after achieving success in the School of Business. They made it crystal clear that UCC will be glad to collaborate with other faculties, schools, and departments.
