Professor Samuel Essien-Baidoo has been elected to serve as the Chairman for the Ghana Chapter of the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science (WAPCMLS – GHANA).

Profile of Professor Samuel Essien-Baidoo
Prof. Samuel Essien-Baidoo is an Associate Professor in Laboratory Medicine and a Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science, with a background in Health Law and Ethics.
His research is dedicated to exploring the intricate interplay between natural and artificial determinants of adverse health outcomes, particularly in the context of infectious and non-infectious diseases.
Experience: Professor Samuel Essien-Baidoo
In administrative work, he has a lot of experience, and an institution can collaborate with him to improve its structure.
Prof. Samuel Essien-Baidoo is a serving founder and Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science and has held many other positions at UCC.
As an external examiner, nationally and internationally, he also represented the University of Cape Coast on the boards of Health Training Institutions affiliated with the university and many others.

Prof. Essien-Baidoo has a great commitment to community service and volunteer work.
