The much-anticipated 2024 WASSCE is scheduled to begin in June, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of students. The registration process will kick off in March, granting schools and candidates ample time to adequately prepare for this rigorous examination. It is crucial to take note of the April 2024 deadline for the closure of WASSCE registration portals.
In order to uphold the integrity of the WASSCE, strict adherence to examination regulations is paramount. Schools are strongly urged to refrain from engaging in activities such as soliciting students or advertising the WASSCE. Maintaining ethical conduct throughout the registration process is crucial to preserving the authenticity and fairness of the examination.

To ensure the credibility of the WASSCE, schools are advised to register only eligible students who are in their final year, supported by comprehensive continuous assessment records. Transferred students must provide evidence of their continuous assessment records. Any attempt to register non-final year or non-bona fide students goes against examination rules and will not be tolerated.
Addressing lingering uncertainties, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has provided clarification regarding the structure of the 2024 WASSCE. Contrary to earlier reports suggesting a reduction in the number of papers, candidates will be required to sit for 8 papers during the examination.
The proposed 5-subject format has not received approval from the GES, and schools are strongly urged to disseminate accurate information to students and parents.
