Sam George dares Pres. Nana Addo, asks him to make public his stance on the Antí-LGBTQ Bill

The Member of Parliament for the Ningo Prampram constituency Samuel Nartey George has dared President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo to make his stance on the Antií-LGBTQI+ bill public.

called on the first gentleman of the land Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo to let Ghanaians know if he is for or against the bill which is seeking to crimin∆lize LGBTQ activities in the country.

“Bill: I’d love to hear the President expressly on the bill, is he for it, is he for it with amendments or is he against it?” – Sam George said in the interview monitored by coverghana.

The lawmaker, Samuel Nartey George and other eight Members of Parliament are currently championing for a bill titled Ghanaian family values bill to be passed into law.

The bill in it’s current form have been described by some persons as harsh and against the rights of persons who belong to the LGBTQ community in the country.

According to the bill waiting to be passed into law, any person who is found guilty of indulging in an LGBTQ+ activity or advocating for LGBTQI+ rights is liable to a fine or a term of imprisonment.
