Sogakope: 18-years lady who was killed and buried on cassava farm goes home today
The deceased, Emefa Assasey
Emefa Assasey, the 18-years old girl who was found dead and buried on cassava farm is finally laid to rest today, Sunday, 31st January, 2021 at Sasekope, a community near Sogakope in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.
Emefa Assasey, was reportedly killed and occasionally buried on a cassava farm under unfortunate circumstances at Bakpo, a suburb of Sogakope in the South Tongu District in December, 2020.

Speaking to Coverghana.com.gh at the funeral ground, Mr. Noah Assasey, the grandfather of the deceased said, the body was released to the family to be buried by the police in the meantime while they continue their search on the alleged murderer who disappeared immediately Emefa Assasey was announced missing.
According to him, the Hospital report confirmed that, Emefa Assasey was forcefully killed.
The deceased was a BECE graduate of the Agorkpo D/A Junior High School in the Sogakope East Circuit of the South Tongu District. She was awaiting her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) before the unfortunate incident took place.

The final funeral rites saw in attendance hundreds of school mates, friends, sympathizers, South Tongu Member of Parliament Hon. Wisdom Kobena Mensah Woyome, School authorities and teachers including Mr. Ocloo Jonathan (Head teacher of the deceased former school), Representative from the South Tongu Education Directorate, Opinion leaders among other key stakeholders in the South Tongu District.
May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
