Honourable Wisdom Kobena Mensah Woyome, the South Tongu Member of Parliament has received his Covid-19 vaccine jab.
On Wednesday, 10th March, 2021, the MP together with his driver Tettedzie Anani Bright and his security personnel Lance Corporal Yikah Seth took the Coronavirus vaccine at the Parliament Clinic in Accra.

According to sources, Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome was one of the MPs who could not receive the covid-19 vaccine jab together with the Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin and staff of Parliament.

Information available to Coverghana.com.gh indicates that, he has received a distress call to his Constituency to address some pressing issues including damage caused by a heavy rainstorm in some communities within South Tongu.
On Thursday, 4th March, 2021, there was a heavy rainstorm which caused severe damage in some communities in South Tongu District of the Volta Region. The rainstorm has also ripped off roofs of some school buildings and community buildings causing several degrees of damage. The situation has compelled the MP to immediately moved out of Parliament to tour the affected communities and schools to access the harm caused by the disaster, hence couldn’t take the covid-19 vaccine jab together with his colleague MP.

Hon. Woyome has also called on the people of South Tongu to avail themselves for the Covid-19 vaccine when it’s finally deployed to the District in order to effectively fight the virus.
