A heavy rainstorm has ripped off some five (5) different Basic Schools in the South Tongu District of the Volta region.

On the other hands, the Head teacher of Dzebetato D/A Basic School Mr. Believer Hottor added that, the disaster occurred around 2:05pm in his school soon after school closed. He noted that, they saw the rain coming and immediately closed the students to go home. “I was called at home that, there’s a disaster happening in the school, so I quickly informed my colleague teachers around. After the rain, all of us came down to the school, and it is rather unfortunate that, the whole structure was condemned. As it stance now, the children are at home until further notice. We could not have known what would have happened to the student if school was to be in section.” The Head teacher explained.
At the moment, about one-thousand (1,000) pupils/students of the affected classrooms would have to be at home until the entire ripped off buildings are fix before teaching and learning can take place.
