The Leadership of the Pre-Tertiary Unions under the Ministry of Education, calls on all Teachers and non-teaching staff to heed the call of Organised Labour by laying down their working tools and staying off work beginning 15th July 2024.

According to the joint release from the Teacher Unions signed by Thomas T. Musah (General Secretary, GNAT), Eric Agbe-Carbonu (President, NAGRAT), King Ali Awudu (President, CCT-GH.), and King James Azortibah, (General Secretary, TEWU), they stated that “This strike has become necessary due to the fact that Government intends to go ahead with the sale of SSNIT properties to Rock City despite the call by Organise Labour for a halt to the sales.”

Other public institutions have also listened to Organised Labour to declare a strike in order to protect the properties of SSNIT.
