A former Deputy Managing Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB), Mr. Alfred Thompson says there are two main reasons why Hon. Haruna Iddrisu was removed as the Minority Leader of the National Democratic Congress in Parliament.
Speaking in an interview on TV3, Mr. Alfred Thompson said that they thy know what is going on in their opponent’s political party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“We know what is going on in our opponent’s party. Everybody knows there is friction between Haruna Iddrisu and former President John Dramani Mahama.” Mr. Alfred Thompson said in his interview.
Mr. Alfred Thompson further recounted that Mr. Mahama was not even ready to appoint Haruna Iddrisu as Minister in his government but eventually gave him the appointment out of pressure.

BACKGROUND
It could be recalled that the leadership of the opposition National Democratic Congress changed it’s leadership in Parliament.
This reshuffle includes the Majority Leader Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the chief whip, deputy Chief whips among other portfolios.
