The former Ranking Member on Foreign Affairs Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa says, there is no Justification to abuse a spouse in this 21st century. In his own opinion, he believes that, it wrong for men who ought to protect their partners rather use the strength to abuse them to the extend of killing them.

The North Tongu Constituency Member of Parliament said, real men use their strength to protect their partners not harm them.

According to the Lawmaker, the abuse on women/ladies is on the rise and must be addressed immediately. He indicated that, it time to strongly encourage ladies to boldly resist and report domestic violence without the slightest delay.

He made the post in connection with a Staff of the Youth Employment Agency in the Akatsi South District of the Volta Region Philip Caesar Kuma who has allegedly beaten his girlfriend Elizerbert Yesutor Akpalu to death.

In a statement made by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa on twitter intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh said;

Horrifying and heart-wrenching times not just for our daughters, sisters and wives; we must all be outraged that physical and emotional violence against women continues to this day.

There can be absolutely no justification to lift a hand against a spouse. Real men use their strength to protect their partners not harm them.

We must strongly encourage ladies to boldly resist and report domestic violence without the slightest delay. Better to leave and live than to stay and succumb.
