There’s No Technical Challenge at Controller, May Salaries Would be Paid as Scheduled – CAGD
The only institution mandated by law to handle the payment of salaries of all government workers in Ghana, the Controller and Accountant – General’s Department has issued a press released on 22nd may, 2020 reacting to rumours that they may not be able to pay Government workers at the end of this month.
Within the past few weeks, there have been many news items circulating on social media with some titled “GOVERNMENT WORKERS SALARY VALIDATION IN LIMBO AS CONTROLLER ENCOUNTERS A TECHNICAL CHALLENGE”

In the press release, the Controller and Accountant – General’s Department, CAGD indicated and assured all Government workers that all workers will be paid as scheduled as payroll run is currently ongoing and that salaries for the month of May will be paid.
said “Management wishes to assure the general public that payroll run is ongoing and that salaries for the month of May will be paid on schedule.”
