National Secretariat of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has dissociated itself from a congratulatory message to Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofo, as President elect for the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS).
According to the National President of TTAG, Mr. Jonathan Dzunu, he, as the sole Spokesperson and the Head of the Association has no idea on the said congratulatory message alleged to have been coming from the official Facebook page of TTAG.
He indicated that, his outfit as the Chief Spokesperson of TTAG has not directed or instructed anyone to do so.
He made the statement following a purpoted Facebook post congratulating one of the Presidential Candidates of NUGS as President elect at the 56th annual Congress.
The Secretariat also cautioned the general public from using the Association’s name in partisan politics which may bring redicule an shame to TTAG.
Our findings have disclosed that, the TTAG Facebook page “Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana – TTAG, National Secretariat” is being managed by the TTAG Public Relations Manager Agyemang Wisdom Emmanuel who used his own discretion to announce a congratulatory message to Mr. Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofo without the knowledge and directives from President and NEC.
Mr Jonathan Dzunu said, his leadership will make sure that, matters confronting teacher trainees across the Forty-six (46) Public Colleges of Education is tackled rather than engaging is partisan politics who contravenes the dictate of the TTAG constitution.
In a statement, Mr. Jonathan Dzunu said; “I entreat the general public to disregard this frivolous and falsely purported act as it is not coming from the National secretariat of the Association. As the leader of the Association, I have not given any directive for such an unacceptable behavior an official release soon be out. As an Association, we have structures we follow and in every step we take. I will not allow any individual to override our structure. Article 39 clause 1 and 2 should be our guide. I will be back”
