The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has issued a disclaimer on issues relating to the just ended NUGS election.

The disclaimer, which was signed by Sumaila Musah and Dzunu Jonathan, Secretary and President to the Association respectfully, addressed issues on a statement made by Mr. Kwesi Atuahene and a flier purported to be emanating from the National Secretariat of the Association, congratulating Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofo.

According to the disclaimer, a statement made by Mr. Kwesi Atuahene (a NUGS Presidential candidate) on TV Africa’s Breakfast Show on Monday, April 4, 2022 was false.

It further directed that, all teacher trainees across the 46 public Colleges of Education should disregard the claim and hold it that, H.E Dzunu Jonathan remains the National President and the head of the bloc.

On the issue of an earlier flier, purported to be emanating from the National Secretariat, congratulating Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofo, the disclaimer again directed that, it should be disregarded since the Secretariat is yet to resolve on serving congratulatory messages to the NUGS Executives elected.

The NUGS election held at Ejisu over the weekend has become a controversial issue after Kwesi Atuahene was declared President elect through the Union’s Twitter handle hours before election was officially declared over by the Electoral Commission.

The EC in it’s report, indicated that, Dennis Appiah Larbi-Ampofo won the Presidential race and has since, declared him NUGS President elect.
