Technical Universities Teachers’ Association of Ghana (TUTAG) has suspended their strike action after weeks of laying their tools down.

All members of TUTAG have been directed to resume work effectively on Monday, 12th December 2022.

In a statement intercepted by coverghana.com.gh, Collins Ameyaw, President, and his General Secretary, Abubakari Zakari congratulate the efforts of National Labour Commission (NLC) for assisting them to reach a commendable agreement for their needs.

Earlier, on 10th December 2022, TUTAG in a release disclosed that they have suspended the strike action based on some reasons. According to the leadership of TUTAG, the conclusions which called for the suspension are related to their demands.

“The strike action has been suspended following the conclusion of negotiations on internally generated fund–related conditions of service, off–campus and vehicle maintenance allowances, and pursuant to the memorandum of agreement signed between the government team and the labour union.”

The leadership of the Association in an official statement announced that all members in the ten (10) Public Technical Universities should resume work on Monday, 12th December, 2022.
