15 Doctor of Pharmacy Students receives UCC Dean’s Award

Fifteen (15) exceptional students from the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences have been honored with academic prizes for their outstanding performance during the 2022/23 Academic Year.

Gideon Nketiah Ohemeng received the award for Best Male and overall 2nd Year Student, while Spendy-love Asantewaa Adusei was recognized as the Best Female 2nd Year Student.

Naa Lamiley was acknowledged as the Best Female and overall 3rd Year Student, and Isaac Kwabi Otchere was named the Best Male 3rd Year Student. Owuraku Koranteng Antwi received recognition as the Most Improved Student, and Felix Owusu achieved the highest CGPA (3.9474) for the 2nd Semester of 2023. Additionally, Amo Bright also attained the highest CGPA (3.9474) for the same semester.

Albert Dwamena Nkansah was awarded as the Most Improved 4th Year Student, Victory Chinedum as the Best Female 4th Year Student, and Prince Armah as the Best Male 5th Year Student.

Marian Sapara Arthur received the accolade for Best Female 5th Year Student, and Frederick Boateng was recognized as the Most Improved student. Ellen Osei, Louisa Armah, and Ydelina Narkotey, all Level 500 students, achieved the highest CGPA (3.8684) for the 2nd Semester of 2023.

Each of the award recipients was presented with a plaque. During the Prof. D.D. Obiri Dean’s Award Ceremony, the Dean of the School, Prof. Elvis Ofori Ameyaw, commended the awardees for their hard work and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.

Prof. Ameyaw emphasized that there are no shortcuts to success and urged the students to study diligently and manage their time effectively. He reiterated that true success is attained through hard work and sincere commitment, dismissing any notion of quick fixes or instant achievements.
