GES launches 2024 school farm awards

The Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Science Education Unit (SEU), in collaboration with the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), have launched the School Farm Awards initiative introduced by the Blue Skies Foundation.
The GES is delighted to announce that the 2024 School Farm Awards are now open for applications from all Second Cycle Schools across the country. The initiative seeks to encourage schools to develop and maintain agricultural projects that provide practical learning experiences for students.

The School Farm Awards initiative aims to promote agricultural education and empower students with valuable skills and knowledge in farming practices, by engaging in hands-on agricultural activities.
GES entreats that all Second Cycle Schools should seize the opportunity and submit their applications for the School Farm Awards before the deadline on March 4th, 2024.
Through the School Farm Awards, the GES aims to cultivate a culture of agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth, by nurturing their interest and skills in agriculture, the initiative strives to equip young people with the tools and mindset needed to pursue rewarding careers in the agricultural sector.
