UCC ranks No 1 University in Ghana, West Africa and No 7 in Africa in 2024 World Universities ranking
The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has been ranked high among its peers in Ghana, West Africa, and the world.
The ranking was conducted by reputable, credible, and trustworthy Times Higher Education.
UCC has been ranked as the Number 1 University in both Ghana and West Africa. On the rank of the African university, it stands Number 7 in the rank, 2024 World Universities Ranking also.
The success of this milestone was earned by the invaluable contributions of faculty, staff, and students of the great institution, the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

To become the number-one university on a trustworthy scale, Times Higher Education is not a fallacy. This recognition will go down the annals of Ghana University’s history. UCC has done the magical work to the extent that other universities will emulate for higher recognition also.

Since 2022 to 2024 ranking per the trustworthy scales, UCC has maintained the same spot for both ranking in Ghana and West Africa as the 1st.
For Africa, they defended the 4th position for two (2) years (2022 and 2023) but per the 2024 ranking, they moved downward to the 7th position.
