UCC SRC calls for Transport Service Accreditations

The leadership of the University of Cape Coast Students’ Representative Council (UCC-SRC) writes to extend an invitation to esteemed individuals or groups of individuals who wish to provide transport services for students of the University of Cape Coast during the reopening and closing down of the school, to seek accreditation from the SRC.
The invitation was signed by Vincent Kojo Siabi (President) and issued by Abdulai Issifu (P.R.O) dated 31st December 2023.
The leadership said, the SRC, as a body, is dedicated to promoting the welfare and safety of students in all its functions, both on campus and outside the campus.
They have developed a comprehensive accreditation program to give recognition to vehicle service providers who meet the vision of the SRC regarding transport services (convenient, comfortable, and safe trips).
Through its experience and engagement with students, the SRC has realized that some transport operators charge students and end up not providing the promised services at all. Some also take no responsibility for the misplacement of students’ luggage, and others end up providing vehicles smaller than the ones shown on the flyers, among other issues.
Through this exercise, the SRC will be able to identify and hold these organizations responsible if any of the aforementioned situations occur.
“Our accreditation process involves a thorough evaluation of various aspects of your organization, including, but not limited to:
1. The quality of the buses
2. Customer services and satisfaction
3. The amount charged.
“Upon successful completion of the accreditation process, you will receive an official tag from the SRC, showcasing your commitment to the vision of the SRC regarding transportation.
“We look forward to receiving your application and working with you to promote the highest standards of transport service for our students. Together, we can make a positive impact and ensure convenient, comfortable, and safe trips.”
