Video: How KETASCO students took over the streets of Keta in jubilation for qualifying to NSMQ Finals

The Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO) in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region has, for the first time qualified to the final stage of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) contest.

Following the school’s victory at the Semi-Final stage, in a competitive competition featuring Wesley Girls’ Senior High School, Keta Senior High Technical School and Tamale Senior High School, the students of KETASCO took over the street of Keta jubilating for qualifying to the Final stage of the National Maths and Science Quiz contest.

In the viral video intercepted by Coverghana, the students were seen celebrating the “golden victory” since this has never happened in the history of the school and the entire Region since the introduction of the National Science and Maths Quiz in 1994.

According to the students, it is good to be a Dzolalian right now in the Volta Region because, they can also claim the bragging rights as one of the national champions to be of Science and Maths and the champions of the Volta and Oti Zone.

Keta Senior High Technical School over the years looks forward to winning the National Science and Maths Quiz contests but, has always been defeated at either quarter-final Stage or semifinals and even before.

The students hope to win this year’s contest so they can beat their chests and recount how they beat schools to win the trophy.

This is a dream comes through for the Keta Senior High Technical School to make Volta Region and its inhabitants proud in the 2021 contest.
