The Lawmaker of the North Tongu Constituency Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has announced his partnership with the Zoomlion Ghana to disinfect all the Electoral Commission’s voter’s registration centres within the North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region.
According to the Member of Parliament, the exercise will be undertaken twice everyday at each registration centre
“Happy to announce that I have secured a successful partnership with Zoomlion to disinfect twice daily all polling stations in my beloved constituency throughout the period of the EC’s mass voter registration.” He announced.
The Ranking Member on Foreign Affairs revealed that, he deemed it very necessary to disinfect all polling stations of the Electoral Commission’s mass registration centres so as to help curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus among his constituents. “It is my hope that this latest initiative will enhance safety conditions as we combine efforts to defeat the marauding COVID-19.” He added.
Mr. Ablakwa who announced the news on his social media platforms said “Nobody deserves to contract the corona only because they were attempting to register to vote for me as MP and H.E. John Mahama as President or any other choice for that matter on December 7.”
