Akufo-Addo self-isolates after exposure to person with COVID-19

The President of Ghana H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commenced his fourteen (14) days self-isolation after he has been exposed to a close person who tested positive of the novel Coronavirus.

In a press statement sighted by Coverghana.com.gh issued by the Information Minister Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the president has began his self-isolation on Saturday, 4th July, 2020 at the President Villa at the Jubilee House following the advice of his doctor.

The statement categorically stated that, the president as at today, 4th July, 2020 tested negative of the Coronavirus but decided to self-isolate since one person within his close circle has tested positive of the COVID-19.


In addition, Mr. KoJo Oppong Nkrumah is his statement said, the president will continue his constitutional and administrative duties from the Presidential Villa at the Jubilee House while on self-isolation until he completes the 14 days Coronavirus precautionary measures.
