A new voter’s Identification Card with Registration Code E141401 spotted by Coverghana.com.gh circulating on social media saw a yong lady who wears a nose mask.
According to the Electoral Commission of Ghana led by Mrs. Jean Mensa, facial recognition is one of the key features of registrants on the new voter’s ID card being issued to Ghanaians.
As preached by the Electoral Commission of Ghana and backed by law, the Voters Identification card is the basic item of identification for Ghanaians of sound mind who attained the age of voting to freely exercise their constitutional mandate in an election organize by EC.
For the purposes of clarity and easy identification of persons who own the card, the Electoral Commission asked that, no one will be allowed to cover any part of his/her face or head during the processes to acquire the card.

The Commission expect to see clearly the date of birth, name, polling station code, Voter ID number, QR Code, passport-sized photo and date of registration of every registrants on the card.
The above information are very necessary to authenticate the validity, legitimate and credibility of the ID card.
In order to avoid mismatch of passport-sized photos, the Electoral Commission strongly advised that, its officials capture full face of each registrants during the registration exercise.

Contrary to the above, Coverghana.com.gh can report that, a young lady’s voter’s ID card spotted circulating on social media bearing the name Biney Sheila with Polling Station Code E141401 and Voter Identification Number 2712013311 who used her face mask to take passport-sized photo on the card.
