A student of Methodist CoE killed out of electoral violence in the ongoing voter’s registration exercise

A newly trained teacher of the Methodist College of Education at Akim Oda has been reported dead from violence of the ongoing voter’s registration exercise.

Some eyewitness who reported the incident said, the young man comes from Jasikan College of Education while others said he is a student of Abetifi College of Education. But our findings proof that, the late Sillas Wulo Chame was a newly trained teacher of Methodist College of Education at Akim Oda.

According to a close source who reported the news to Coverghana.com.gh, said, “the late Sillas Wulo Chame was attacked and killed in the ongoing registration by Kwame Afrane, a blood brother of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Banda Constituency, Hon. Joe Danquah”

According to source, the military and police were all aiding in the attacks on innocent civilians in Banda which has resulted in the death of this promising young man.

The heartbreaking news was also reported by the National Coordinator of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) Mr. Hussein Mohammed Sheikh.

Mr. Hussein Mohammed Sheikh expresses worry, grief and disappointment on state institutions most especially the Electoral Commission of Ghana on the unfortunate death of this young man out of electoral violence in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

According to him, “this must be a wake up call to the youth. All isn’t about politics. Our growth as a country depends minimally on partisan”
