NPP declares war on voltarians; Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo uncovers memories

The Bono Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has waded into the citizenship debate of voltarians which has become a topic for discussion. In an interview with Coverghana.com.gh he stated that he is a proud voltarian himself and will not sit and watch Ewes to be treated as outcast.

According to the young politicians, the agenda of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his NPP started even before they won power in 2016. He referred to Hon. Kennedy Agyapong calling for all voltarian in Ashanti Region to be killed, Hon. wabena Agyapong caught on camera saying there are no human beings in Volta Region, the Senior Minister Hon. Osafo Marfo caught on tape saying Voltarians must be denied development, Hon. Ursula Ekuful Owusu defining the real owners of Ghana, Gabby Okyere Darko’s statement on the Ketu South people and KT Hammond statements that voltarians must be prevented from voting because they are not Ghanaians.

Sounding very angry, Efo Worlanyo said it was for this reason the New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for Banda in the Bono Region Mr. Joe Danquah mobilized soldiers to demolish the houses of all voltarians along the Bui Dam with the agenda of driving them away from the area to reduce the votes of Ahmed Ibrahim the current MP for the area.

Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo said, he believes NPP has declare war on all voltarians both home and abroad and advised that every voltarian must be ready to defend himself and their citizenship with the last drop of their blood. He went ahead and said it will be “unthinkable” for a Voltarian to walk to the poll on December 7, 2020 and cast his/her vote for someone (NPP) who is calling them foreigners. He said that person must either be mad or has a history of madness in his or her family.

“We voltarian are fearless, we have never been defeated before and we will never be defeated. Our patriotic song urged us never to let down this country, it urged us to resist oppressors rule and we will do that with the last energy and blood in us. NPP shouldn’t try to bring out the voltarian in us.” He added.

“The soldiers they sent to Ketu South in Volta Region should advise themselves before the worse happens. They hold guns, that’s what makes them fearful, if you shoot and the gun stops working where will that power of fear be? He asked.
