Some bigwigs of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and sympathizers hace cheered on the Vice President of Ghana H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as they sang Black Sherif’s second sermon during his recent lectures.

In a viral video, NPP sympathizers were seen singing praises on the Vice President as he approaches to deliver his address on the country’s economy.

Dr. Bawumia receives series of positive attributes from the gathering in colourful style.


The Vice President of Ghana addressed the state of the economy at a presentation were he disclosed external factors as a major cause of the economic challenges.

Speaking at the Training and Orientation Conference in Kasoa as the main Speaker, on 7th April, 2022, he presented to the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON) on the economy.

The conference was attended by top NPP party men, the Chairman of the NPP party Freddy Blay, the General Secretary, John Boadu, the event had the First Lady Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo as a Special Guest, and many others.

Addressing the attendees, Dr. Bawumia touched the popular word “digitalisation’ where he made reference to how tickets were sold at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi digitally during the WCQ Qualification match between Ghana and Nigeria. He said, the medium has earned the economy about Gh¢1.423 million.

He spoke at length and attributed the difficulties faced by Ghanaians to the recent Russia-Ukraine invasion which. To the Veep, the economy was turned upside down with the invasion and the world’s pandemic (Covid-19).


The world is mid-way healed and running their economic activities devoid of associating it too much with the harm it has caused to it’s economy.

At the National Conference, he was asked on the new economy he promised to build, how the government is solving the economic crisis and actions taken by government to tackle corruption. But, many have described his responses as lies and propaganda.

At the event in Kasoa, Yesukrom, Dr. Bawumia was also tasked to account vividly for the systems and reasons behind the hike in prices of fuel and others goods in the country.
