The Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has disclosed on how 1D1F policy is impacting tremendously on the manufacturing sector of Ghana.
According to the Vice President, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government has established the largest number of factories under the 1D1F policy since independence.
Speaking to the National Economic Conference attendees in Kasoa, Central region on 7th April, 2022, Dr. Bawumia disclosed on how the 1D1F policy under the NPP-led party has brought more light to the manufacturing sector.

He said at the event that, the One District-One Factory policy has taken off with a significant impact on the manufacturing sector.
Adding with figures for clearer understanding, he said a total of 106 factories have been completed and are operational, and 148 factories are under construction.
He emphasised making references to the above mentioned figures that, this represents the largest number of factories established under a government programme since independence.

He further listed point blank the numerous automobile companies facilitating the growth of the Ghanaian Automobile Industry. He mentioned companies like; Suzuki, Toyota, Peugeot, Sino Truck, Volkswagen, and Nissan for establishing assembly plants in Ghana.
He commended the efforts of KIA, Hyundai and Renault for their on course work to start in starting production in Ghana in 2022.
Dr. Bawumia stated categorically that, “Katanka Automobile Company Limited is benefiting from the same incentives.”
