The Bono Regional Youth organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress,NDC has written an article on his Facebook wall titled “NPP’s Joe Danquah’s Tribal War Against Ewes in Banda Will be Met With Full Force”
In the article, Mr. Worlanyo made certain allegations against the CEO of the Middle Belt Development Authority and the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Banda Mr. Joe Danquah.
Mr. Worlayo indicated in the article that “Per a leaked WhatsApp chat, it showed clearly that Joe Danquah and his people had a well executed plan to drive all Ewes from Banda before the 2020 election.”
He also vowed that, in the coming days, they will report the actions of Mr Joe Danquah to the Ghana Police Service and they will resist any further demolishing of their homes with cutlasses and whatever weapon that is at our disposal.
BELOW IS THE WRITE UP BY MR. WORLANYO TSEKPO THE BONO REGIONAL ORGANIZER OF THE NDC
NPP’s JOE DANQUAH’S TRIBAL WAR AGAINST EWES IN BANDA WILL BE MET WITH FULL FORCE
I am Ewe from Volta Region with some relatives in Banda in the Bono Region.
I have always been thankful to my party for giving me the opportunity to serve as a Regional Youth Organizer for the Bono Region though am not from the Region. This is the love that exists in the NDC party.
Banda is one of the smallest constituencies with over 3000 Ewes around the river Bui where they do their fishing business.
Politically, the Ewe population has been a headache to Joe Danquah who has lost the Parliamentary seat since the creation of the Banda constituency.
Per a leaked WhatsApp chat it showed clearly that Joe Danquah and his people had a well executed plan to drive all Ewes from Banda before the 2020 election. Joe Danquah is the CEO of the Middle Belt Development Authority and the Npp Parliamentary candidate for Banda.
Joe Danquah ordered Bui Power authority to start demolishing the houses of all Ewes around the Bui dam which will leave my people with no choice than to go back to Volta Region so that they can vote without over 3000 Ewes which he think could give him a win.
Today over 200 houses have been burnt into ashes and others demolished by Npp invisible forces. Over 500 people have become homeless overnight because of the evil Political strategy of Joe Danquah.
I sympathize with my people but we will officially report Joe Danquah to the Ghana police in the coming days and will resist any further demolishing with cutlasses and whatever weapon that is at our disposal. Let’s not forget our National Anthem says we should Resist oppressors rule with all the available strength in us.
Joe Danquah should remember those he is dealing with are fisher folks who are law abiding. He should know that going to fish demands extra powers from our ancestors. Next time his hired police and invisible forces will not have it freely and safely as they had it earlier.
We can’t sit and allow our people to be rendered homeless in their own country! I can promise Joe Danquah and his people that their next demolishing will either see some of them permanently disabled. My people will Not allow that nonsense again. Never! If Joe Danquah likes he should try it himself and see what will happen to him and his boys. My people are ready to do anything to protect their houses and investments in this difficult moment we are all fighting this Covid19 together.
Joe Danquah can be promised the worse if he tries it again, we don’t want the worse to happen but if they try it, they will feel the anger of the fisherfolks which will lead to an unfortunate act the country wouldn’t be proud of.
I therefore call on my fellow Ewes to resist any further demolishing because it’s a political agenda by the Npp to move them out from the Banda constituency.
We are watching from afar Mr Joe Danquah.
Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo.
Bono Regional Youth Organizer for NDC
