“We are disappointed and very sorry for our Ghanaian people that we have failed at this stage of the competition, but if you only knew how grateful we are to have been supported by you, our Ghanaian fans.”

Ghana failed to qualify at the 2023 AFCON and hence been unable to move to the next stage in the tournament. The team pushed hard to gain the spot for the next stage but unfortunately, they couldn’t make it.

Ghana exited from the tournament with only 2 points. They played a draw (2:2) in their last match with Mozambique.

After many uproars from Ghanaians, GFA sacked the Head Coach, Chris Hughton, and dissolved the entire technical team. However, as it stands, the Association will work hard to get the rightful and qualified men to fill the vacant positions.

Not excluding the right selection and leaving politics aside, Ghana Football/Black Stars can resurrect. Ghana has a good history but selfish gains in recent times have plunged the hard work and image painted by their predecessors.
