The New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for the Tema West Constituency Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah has snatched ballot papers in Parliament House during counting of ballots for Speakership election.
During the election of the Speaker of Parliament, some members of Parliament has shown unconstitutional behaviours characterized by complete pandemonium with the most noticeable being Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, who in the full glare of his colleagues and the media, snatched ballot sheets and bolted.

The Tema West Member of Parliament was given a hot chase by some security officers and colleague lawmakers, including Asawase Member of Parliament Muntaka Mubarak Mohammed, who after getting hold of him hit him severally. The action was described by many as a marathon race among them.
The attitude by an honourable Member of Parliament thus; Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah has been largely condemned by many Ghanaians and the international community. Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have even proposed his arrest and prosecution since his action violates the Law and parliamentary regulations.

The electioneering processes lasted for over nine (9) hours and delayed the swearing-in of MPs-elect and the selection process of a Speaker for the 8th Parliament but eventually four hours after the secret ballot amidst a lot of jostling.
