CPP’s Flagbearer unveils profile; Says he’s poised to win December 2020 polls

In the era of the novel Coronavirus pandemic, various political parties have restrategised their campaign activities in the run up to the December 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections. A section of Ghanaians are worried though, as to whether the first Ghanaian president’s party thus; the Convention People’s Party founded by Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah can unseat the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December polls.
Though, many of them doubted the victory of the Convention People’s Party in the upcoming elections, the Leader and Flagbearer of the party Ivor Kobina Greenstreet is poised of unseating the ruling party to make a resounding history for CPP and Ghanaians.

His profile which was unveiled on the “Founder’s Day”, Monday, 21st September, 2020 includes but not limited to the following to give himself more exposure before the electorates are;
Ivor Kobina Greenstreet is a Ghanaian politician and Lawyer. He is the Presidential Candidate for CPP in the upcoming 2020 Ghanaian General Elections.

Ivor was born on 31st May 1966 (after the illegal overthrow of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah) in Accra to Prof. Dennis Greenstreet and Miranda Greenstreet, a professor of the University of Ghana and Co-Chair of the Coalition Of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO). He is a native of Ga Mashie in Accra and Akuapem Akropong in the Eastern Region.
– He had his early education in Ghana and furthered in the UK to read law and, upon completion was called to the Middle Temple and Ghana Bar respectively.
– He is a family man with two kids
– He is into active sports including swimming and shooting

– He was an active member of the People’s Convention Party (PCP) before the party merged with NCP to form CPP in 1996. He continue playing various role in CPP.
– In 2004 he was parliamentary candidate of the Party for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency and polled over 5,000 votes but lost to Akosua Frema Osei-Opare (Current Chief of Staff) of the NPP.
– He was elected as the General Secretary of the party in 2008 and 2011 in consecutive tenures.

– He was elected Flagbearer for the 2016 General Elections for Convention Peoples’ Party (CPP) which he polled over 25,000 votes which was a marginal improvement over the 2012 campaign by his predecessor Dr. Michael Abu Sakara.
He is the first person to be re-elected by the Party as Flagbearer since the inception of the 4th Republic.
