NDC Members in the three (3) Tongu constituencies; North Tongu, South Tongu and the Central Tongu and some citizens of the areas have hit the street to demonstrate against what they describe as a stolen verdict of the December 2020 elections.
The demonstration which started around 8:00am on the principal street of Sogakope through to the Sogakope District Hospital ended at the South Tongu Electoral Commission’s Office.
According to the indigents of the area, the Electoral Commission of Ghana led by Mrs. Jean Mensa has stolen their verdict for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo against John Dramani Mahama who they voted for.
The three (3) Tongu constituencies were joined by neighboring Constituencies like Akatsi South, Akatsi North, Anlo, Keta and Ketu Constituencies to demand for the ‘right.
According to the people, they will continue to demonstrate until their stolen verdict is brought back to them.
