Some Volta women have pronounced everlasting curses on the Electoral Commission’s Chairperson Mrs. Jean Mensa and reportedly threatened her not to return home else, she will face their wrath.
This came during a demonstration in the Keta and Anlo Constituencies of the Volta Region where thousands of women were seen in a viral video cursing the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana who comes from the region.

The women protesters also drag their buttocks on the ground to curse Electoral Commission officials especially Mrs. Jean Mensa for fraudulently declaring the December 2020 elections in favour of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The people of Keta and Anlo constituencies have hit the principal street of Anlo and Keta to demonstrate against the Electoral Commission’s declaration of the presidential election results in favour of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
During the protest, some NDC supporters, women and the people of the area were seen chanting war songs, mentioning the EC Chairperson’s name and the name of President Nana Akufo-Addo with numerous curses.

They also performed sacrifices, poured libations, invoked curses and call on Volta gods including Nogokpo and Klikor to strike EC officials who rigged the December 2020 Polls in favour of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo against Mr. John Dramani Mahama.
According to the women protesters, some of who spoke in an exclusive interview with Coverghana Media Network news team, said they least expected Mrs. Jean Mensa to act in such a manner as a Volta woman.

Madam Jean Mensa, according to history, hails from Adidome in the Central Tongu District of the Volta region. Our sources disclosed that, her paternal family comes from Volta region, this has angered the women to have descend heavily on her.
The Electoral Commission has declared President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the president elect in the December 2020 general elections. According to the Commission’s amended results after the official declaration, President Akufo-Addo had a total valid votes of 6,730,587 representing 51.302% while Mr. John Dramani Mahama had a total valid votes of 6,213,182 representing 47.359%.

Meanwhile, the Leader and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. John Dramani Mahama has since rejected the elections results, described it as flawed and rigged. He has then requested for a forensic audit into all Pink Sheets from each polling station.
