“We have spent three remarkable years in this reputable institution and by the grace of God, we close this chapter of our lives and commence another. Congratulations to everyone. I remember the excitement I felt when I gained admission into this reputable institution and I am confident that everyone here felt the same way.”
“The feeling I have now is indescribable because just few years ago, we were called freshers but look us at now. It is really true that time flies. During our stay on campus, there were times we had to embrace financial constraints, sleepless night, difficulty in adapting to our new environment and pressurizing situations like the need to complete an assignment on time and the strike action by CETAG which disrupted our studies greatly. Inspite of all these, we persevered, we conquered and we made it. Through it all, we have made friends, lost friends and experienced unforgettable memories that will be engraved in our hearts forever.” He explained.
He further said, “Graduating class of 2020, it is undoubtedly true that we are a group of individuals who are ambitious, creative, intelligent and open-minded and as we leave this campus, may we not carry with us only the book learning but also the life lessons, high moral ethics and discipline that this institution, which we affectionately call Avernor University has instilled in us.”
As the former American Writer, Mark Twain said “I have never let my schooling interfere with my education”
“Fellow graduands, let please remember that at the end of the day, it is not about your accomplishment, rather it is how influential you are and how helpful you have been to others.”
“Life is about interdependency and no one achieves success without the help of others. Let me use this opportunity to thank our dedicated teachers who were readily available to come to our aid when we needed their assistance.”
“A special thanks to our parents and guardians for their financial and moral support. We thank the kitchen staff for the sumptuous meals they prepared for us. As the Holy Book says, in “2 Corinthians 3:5” “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God”. Indeed could we have gotten this far without the unflinching love and support of God? We are really grateful to Him.”
“Fellow graduands, today is a milestone for all of us. There is more to life than having a diploma or a degree in the field of study. Keep learning, try out new experiences, take risk, make mistakes but learn from them, believe in yourself, fall in love, if you get heartbroken, fall again and do not be stucked in your comfort zone.”
“Always remember that the world is full of limitless opportunities to be grasped by you and that the only thing that limits you is you. As from today fellow graduands , never apologize for high standards; don’t allow society to coerce you into becoming what you are not.”
“People who really want to be in your life will rise up to meet them. The quality of who you are is reflected in the standards you set for yourself; and so position yourself to live up to the rise of your own expectations. Always remember that the world has limitless opportunities waiting to be grasped by you.”
“Let me end by asking this question; if the goal of life is to be remembered after our death, what you hope to be remember for. Let this question resonates in your mind always. Be true to yourself and to your maker.”
